Wild and Crazy Jane
Wild and crazy Jane,
Singing in the rain,
Making me insane
With her whips and chains.
How was I to know
Where my heart would go
When she'd come around
To my underground?
All the straight-laced youth
With jerseys and suspenders
Cannot comprehend her,
Cannot apprehend her
And her ways insane.
Wild and crazy Jane!--
Such a sweet refrain--
Always on my brain
In the pouring rain.
All the gods come tumbling
And the walls come crumbling
When sweet Jane comes rumbling
And laughing in the rain.
Laughing like a child,
Innocent and wild
With those whips and chains--
Wild and crazy Jane.
Looking out the window
I can see her smiling,
Carefree and beguiling
Amidst all joy and pain--
Oh wild and crazy Jane!
